Golf |
Ages
5-8 – Sign up your aspiring girl or boy golfer in
our Junior-Junior Golf program. It's mirrored after the
highly successful junior golf program at the Detroit Country
Club, which starts at the age of 9. The 2 hour sessions
include a brief introduction to all aspects of the game
as well as for 1-3 holes on the golf course.

New
this year, we will have 2 sessions, one in the morning
and one in the afternoon! Due to the back to back sessions,
we will not be including lunch; however, we will provide
drinks following play.
This
clinic is designed to give children more experience on
the golf course as instruction is limited to 3/4 of an
hour. Prior golf experience is recommended.

For
the beginner golfer or for the Intermediate golfer who
needs a bit of a tune up, these Tuesday evening classes
are a great way to begin the season. The hour long instruction
will cover the long game, iron game, sand, chipping and
putting. On course instruction will also be provided. |

Kate's
Club! (Girls only!) |
We
would like to encourage more girls to become involved with
golf and the annual Ironman Junior Classic. Kate's club
will be an 8 week program, typically on Mondays from 9:30-11:30.
As conflicts arise during the summer, i.e. swimming lessons,
vacations, etc... we will provide an alternative opportunity
for the girls to participate in some sort of activity.
Our goal is to have the girls playing golf or practicing
at least one day a week. Included in the 8 week fee will
be a range card for 10 small buckets of range balls (to
be used by participant only) as well as a pre-paid entry
into the Ironman Junior Classic (ages 8-12) on Thursday
and Friday, August 7th & 8th, or for the Wee Tee Tournament
on Wednesday, August 6th for ages 5-7.
Participants
should have their own set of golf clubs and should be prepared
to carry or pull their clubs on the course. Eventually
they will be playing all 9 holes!
