The introduction of WEE TEES has come to Ironman Golf Course. Kris Smith, PGA member and owner developed WEE TEES, forward tees placed in the fairway for suggested ages of 5 to 8 years. "I find that the parents can enjoy their round of golf and are able to introduce the game to their young children. I teach many junior clinics and at that age, a 40 to 80 yard hole is all that is needed to get them started learning the game. Getting the tee ball over the rough to the fairway can be very frustrating." Ironman has three sets of tees, stretched out from the blue, 2,824 yards, the red, 2489 yards, and now from the WEE TEES, 1,042 yards. "We embrace Junior Golf and feel that wee have hit a Home Run introducing golf to any age."
